As Election Day arrives, the University of Illinois Chicago community has joined together to register, educate, and encourage voters to participate.
With the help and organization of Student Leadership & Civic Engagement, the university has had access to an abundance of voting information, as well as an early voting site in the SCE Illinois Room on Oct. 28, 29, & 30.
UIC places importance on voting. Ranked No. 51 among 157 schools in the “Best Colleges for Student Voting” category, UIC was recognized for showing commitment to increasing student voting.
The university was also awarded the Best Campus Action Plan Award for 2018, as well as a Gold Seal for a 40-49% voting rate.
Don’t forget to vote in the 2020 U.S. Presidential Election. Election Day is Nov. 3. Illinois residents can register to vote day-of at specific voting locations.
